Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the seating chart and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, enhancing guest relations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservations and order management.
- Provide support during peak hours, ensuring all guests feel valued and attended to.
Qualifications
- Previous host/host experience preferred, with a background in food service or hospitality.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving techniques and guest services.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus; knowledge of Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive guest interactions.
