Parts Counterperson – Automotive Dealership

Jim White Honda is hiring a full-time Parts Counterperson to join our fast-paced, customer-focused Parts Department. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable using computers, and eager to learn the automotive industry in a structured, team-driven environment.
No automotive parts experience required. We provide paid training for motivated candidates with strong computer skills and a willingness to follow established processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist retail and wholesale customers with automotive parts inquiries and purchases
- Support service technicians and advisors by sourcing parts for repair orders
- Use dealership computer systems (CDK/Drive) to look up, order, and bill parts
- Accurately follow established procedures and department processes
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and inventory locations
- Use Excel, Google Docs, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for daily communication, tracking, and documentation
- Provide professional customer service by phone, email, and in person
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Qualifications:
- Automotive or dealership experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong computer skills required, including familiarity with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Docs
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Outlook (email & calendar use)
- Comfortable learning new dealership software systems
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and standard operating processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Type & Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Day shift
- Rotating Saturdays required
