Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Auto parts Counterperson/Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering products efficiently while providing excellent customer service at the counter and on the phone. Job duties include but not limited to delivering, stocking, cleaning, running a cash register and gas console as well as learning the computer system to look up and sell auto parts. Must possess valid and clean driving record.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, to fulfill local delivery routes.
- Deliver orders accurately to customers’ locations, adhering to scheduled routes and timeframes.
- Assist customers at the counter with product inquiries, sales transactions, and order pickups including U-Haul rentals and returns.
- Learning product lines to eventually look up and sell auto parts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and delivery vehicles.
- Manage route driving efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Will train and certify for propane filling.
Skills
- Experience is not required, will train for all
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients at delivery sites and in-store.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and move items efficiently within store or delivery settings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail and punctuality. This role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer interactions while maintaining safety standards across all operations.
