Duties
- Safely operate buses, including motor coaches, school buses, shuttle buses, and paratransit vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance, addressing mechanical issues promptly
- Transport passengers along designated routes or on-demand trips with punctuality and professionalism
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, fare collection, and answering questions courteously
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and team members using radio or other communication devices
- Ensure passenger safety by enforcing safety policies and managing passenger behavior effectively
- Complete all required logs, reports, and documentation related to trips, maintenance issues, or incidents
- Spanish bilingual
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for all vehicle types
- Experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or chauffeur services such as limousine or driver roles is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Knowledge of paratransit operations or motor coach driving is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with passengers and team members
- Ability to handle various vehicle types including school buses and motor coaches with precision and care
- Prior experience in customer service roles that involve direct interaction with clients or the public is advantageous
- Demonstrated responsibility in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
