What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flower Store Sales Associate & Floral Assistant position at Jim Ludwig's Blumengarten Florist?
Jim Ludwig’s Blumengarten Florist is looking for a flower shop sales associate and floral assistant. Ideal candidate would be passionate about flowers, have experience within the floral industry, and be able to:
- Process fresh flowers and receive and restock other incoming product.
-Assist with preparing event rentals, i.e. cleaning vessels and candles, packaging for delivery.
- Answer phones and take orders in a professional manner with a customer service mindset
- Organize and prioritize store tasks
- Work as a team player with other store employees
- Consult with families and couples about their floral needs
- Pay strong attention to detail.
- Be friendly and outgoing.
- Respond to emails
- Basic understanding of computers
- Help with plant maintenance
- Maintaining store displays and general shop appearance.
- Light shop maintenance which may include sweeping, cleaning and organizing work stations and surfaces.
- Familiar with FTD Mercury or other POS systems a plus
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
