Join One of Georgia’s Largest Family-Owned Automotive Groups!
Do you know how to turn a vehicle concern into a great customer experience?
At Jim Ellis Automotive Group, we’re looking for an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor who knows that great service is about more than cars, it’s about communication, trust, and taking care of people.
As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the connection between our customers and our technicians. You’ll listen, communicate, problem-solve, and help customers understand exactly what their vehicle needs to keep them safely on the road.
If you know your way around a service drive, can build relationships with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to talk to you!
Your Role: Connect the Customer to the Shop
Our technicians may be under the hood, but you’re behind the customer experience.
You’ll guide customers through the service and repair process from write-up to delivery, making sure expectations are clear, communication stays consistent, and customers feel confident about the work being performed on their vehicle.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary communicator between the customer and technician, ensuring customer concerns are clearly understood and recommended repairs are clearly explained
- Greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, and provide a professional and welcoming service experience
- Prepare accurate repair orders by documenting symptoms, concerns, recommended services, and necessary repairs
- Develop estimates for parts, labor, supplies, deductibles, and other applicable charges
- Review vehicle inspection results and communicate additional recommended maintenance and repair needs to customers
- Obtain customer authorization before repairs are performed
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including updates on completion times, repair status, and expenses
- Review warranty and service contract coverage and explain applicable provisions, exclusions, and customer responsibilities
- Administer manufacturer warranty procedures for qualifying repairs
- Educate customers on maintenance needs, service recommendations, and available service specials
- Address customer questions or concerns and work toward timely, professional resolutions
- Maintain accurate information within the dealership’s service management system
- Partner with technicians, parts personnel, and service leadership to keep repairs moving efficiently
- Follow up with customers and help build relationships that keep them coming back
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What Makes a Great Service Advisor?
