Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail Dry Cleaners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of Dry Cleaner management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining store profitability through effective loss prevention, equipment maintenance, inventory/supplies management, and promotional strategies. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a positive experience and driving business growth to the store.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
- Develop and implement promotional sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Manage inventory/supplies levels, conduct stock audits, and coordinate purchasing to ensure production runs smoothly.
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity. Ensuring loss prevention is paramount.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Monitor store operations to ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Assist in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven management experience in dry cleaners preferred or retail store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, and retail math calculations
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage purchasing processes effectively
- Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Skilled in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and shift management
- Competent in dry cleaner sales techniques, pricing strategies, stock/supplies management, and promotional initiatives
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cash handling, bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while overseeing multiple store functions
