Environmental Health and Safety Manager

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager facilitates compliance with health and safety, ensures the business adheres to safety regulations and performs necessary reporting. This position is responsible for managing risk by inspecting work areas to determine potential safety and health hazards, identifying safety and health issues, reducing, or eliminating unsafe working conditions, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. This position ensures the company is compliant and works closely with the Operations, Quality and Compliance teams on all three shifts.

The preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience, with strong knowledge of safety regulatory requirements required.
• Knowledge and experience working with OSHA and EPA regulations required.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification a strong plus.
• Highly committed to EHS and has proven results in good judgment, prioritizing, and contributing to a collaborative/interdependent culture.
• Working knowledge of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), and other appropriate industry and government agency guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent computer skills in a Windows based environment; excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• High sense of urgency and ability to achieve priorities.
• Strong problem solving and investigation skills.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
