Injection Molding Set-Up Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Molding Set-Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up injection molding machines to ensure efficient, high-quality production of plastic components. Your expertise in machine operation, tooling, and quality inspection will help maintain smooth production flow, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to perform machine set-ups and mold changes
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance.
• Make mechanical adjustments necessary during the machine run to make sure that parts meet specifications.
• Follows appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP’S) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Maintains ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure full adherence to LOTO procedures for safe interaction with machinery
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in Injection Molding changes preferred.
• Understanding of injection molding machines, operations and repairs
• Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Troubleshooting ability.
• Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
• Adaptability- the individual adapts to changes in the work environment with the ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate using the English language.

Working conditions

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; see to read and documents; hear and speak to exchange information. The noise level in the environment may be loud.

Physical requirements

To carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: From $22.80 per hour
