Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and recording receipt details using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately according to customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks, stock shelves, and organize warehouse inventory.
- Manage stock levels through proper stocking procedures, order picking, and inventory updates in systems such as AS400 or MRP software.
- Ensure proper packaging of products for shipment to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including inbound/outbound logs and incident reports.
- Collaborate with warehouse management systems to optimize warehouse distribution processes and support order fulfillment efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and stock management.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and RF scanners for inventory control.
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes including packaging standards for online orders.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload trucks, stock shelves, and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with organizational skills necessary for efficient order fulfillment.
