JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
- Wall Panel Designer for a panelized wood framing company, located in Pennsylvania. Designer will be responsible for producing wall panel designs, based on Construction documents provided for, single family homes, town homes, small commercial and multifamily projects.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:
· Required Qualifications –
- Mitek – Specific to Wall panels designs
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Blueprint reading
- Bluebeam, Adobe or PDF software experience
- Microsoft Office
- High School diploma or equivalent
· Preferred Qualifications
- Mitek wall panel design experience preferred.
- High school diploma or greater
- In office preferred but willing to allow remote work, based on location and experience.
**Pay scale is based off of experience and knowledge of the design and construction industry**
TACTICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Time Management – Must be able to manage time effectively. This includes effective communication with current and potential clients in regards to design. Multi-tasking various jobs/projects at once is necessary.
· Effective Communication – Must effectively communicate with your peers and higher management. Participation and facilitation of the Level 10 meeting every week is required. Effective communication with clients and vendors is necessary.
SPECIFIC ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create wall panel shop drawings incorporating all necessary design notes for panel lines.
· Create wall panel layouts with detail needed for the field to erect wall panels, roof and floor systems.
· Coordinate lumber needs after design with Purchaser.
· Collaborate with structural engineers on stair and building projects.
· Attend job site meetings with engineers, architects, trades.
