What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at JF Taylor Inc?
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and production planning principles specific to the DoD.
The interface between engineering and production:
- Creating work orders in our MRP tool.
- Evaluating design for manufacturability before production begins.
- Working with inventory & purchasing to ensure parts are ordered. Track outstanding part orders as they pertain to open work orders.
- Answering questions from technicians and QA on the shop floor.
- Supporting customer meetings, as required.
- Creating packing lists for final deliveries or on-site installations.
- Working with the Production Manager to ensure all deliverable requirements are met on-time.
