Job Title: Transport Driver

Reports To: Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Position Overview:

The Transport Driver is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the company's delivery and pick-up schedule from the warehouse to the job site, ensuring efficient and organized handling of equipment for all incoming and outgoing productions. This role may help to coordinate deliveries and pickups based on the company calendar, maintain accurate records through proper documentation and tracking systems, and uphold a safe professional standard in all driving and loading operations.  The Transport Driver works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Team to ensure timely routes and drop-offs, communicate logistical needs, and follow procedures that support overall company efficiency.  This position will involve driving a 26’ box truck and a Sprinter van in the DMV area.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive for all shifts to execute deliveries and pick-ups accurately and on time according to the company calendar. 
• Review and confirm equipment packing slips during loading and unloading, ensuring methodical and organized tracking.  
• Ensure all returned gear is accounted for, undamaged, and properly returned to designated storage areas.  
• Follow delivery schedules and prioritize windows as reflected in the calendar, including top-of-the-hour blocks and “All Day” events.  
• Monitor drive times and adjust accordingly to meet scheduling notes and delivery commitments. 
• Maintain clean, organized, and road-ready vehicles at all times, adhering to safety and DOT standards. 
• Communicate with the Operations Team when service requirements or equipment issues arise for attention to scheduled maintenance. 
• Assist the warehouse staff during load-in and load-out to uphold facility and equipment standards.
• Participate in the return and correct storage of equipment after each run. 
• Communicate daily with the Operations Team regarding route status, load issues, and scheduling changes. 
• Flag Logistical inefficiencies or recurring delivery challenges and recommend improvements to flow and routing.  
• Support inventory tracking by verifying loads against manifests and logging discrepancies in company inventory systems. 

Experience: 

• Prior experience driving box trucks and sprinter vans
• Experience in warehouse logistics or event production environment is a plus
• Familiarity with load securement and weight distribution 

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record (MVR check). 
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly 
• Ability to load, unload, and secure cargo safely 
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods 

Compensation:

FC Production offers a compensation structure that reflects the nature of this role, with $22.00/hour to $30.00/hour
