Role Description The Assistant Fitness Director is a full-time, on-site role based at the Crunch Fitness location in Valdosta, GA. This role supports the Fitness Director in overseeing daily fitness operations, including group exercise programming, small group training, and personal training services. The Assistant Fitness Director helps recruit, onboard, and coach fitness staff, ensuring high-quality instruction, member engagement, and adherence to safety and brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling instructors, monitoring class and training performance, interacting with members to understand their goals, and resolving service concerns promptly and professionally. The role also involves collaborating with club leadership to drive member retention, supporting fitness promotions and events, and maintaining a motivating, inclusive, and clean training environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Group Exercise and Group Training to effectively support and lead classes and small group programs.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Exercise Physiology and Training principles to design safe, effective, and goal-oriented workout programs.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to build positive member relationships, respond to feedback, and foster a welcoming environment.
- Candidates should hold relevant fitness certifications (e.g., nationally recognized personal training or group exercise credentials) and current CPR/AED certification.
- Candidates should demonstrate leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to coach and motivate diverse teams and members.
- Candidates should have prior experience working in a fitness, wellness, or sports environment; experience in a supervisory or coordinator role is preferred.
- Candidates should be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed to support club operations.
