The Dwares JCC is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach to join the Tiger Sharks Swim Team, the 2026 RIMA Swim League Champions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a successful and growing competitive swim program committed to excellence, athlete development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Position Summary
The Assistant Swim Coach will support the Head Coach in developing swimmers of all skill levels, helping athletes improve their technique, build confidence, and achieve their personal and competitive goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about swimming, enjoys mentoring young athletes, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting swim practices.
- Teach and reinforce proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and race strategies.
- Motivate and encourage swimmers while fostering a positive team culture.
- Attend swim meets and assist with competition preparation and athlete support.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and swimmer development.
- Ensure a safe training environment and adherence to pool policies.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff.

Qualifications:Qualifications
- Competitive swimming and/or swim coaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of stroke mechanics and swim training principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for working with youth athletes.
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Availability for evening practices, weekend meets, and team events.
