Do you have a passion for competitive swimming and helping young athletes reach their potential? The Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our competitive swim program. This position works closely with swimmers, families, and coaching staff to help athletes develop their skills, confidence, sportsmanship, and love of the sport.
As a member of our coaching team, you will work closely with athletes, families, and fellow coaches to create a positive, supportive, and high-performing environment that reflects the YMCA's mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Essential Functions
- Assist with swim team practices, meets, and summer swim camps.
- Coach swimmers of varying ages and skill levels.
- Develop and implement effective workouts and training plans.
- Support travel and participation at local, regional, and national meets.
- Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented environment.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized program areas.
