Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2nd shift Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate various power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding with precision to ensure strong, durable joints adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances.
- Cut, bend, assemble, and install sheet metal and ductwork for manufacturing or construction projects.
- Use rigging techniques and operate forklifts safely to move heavy materials or finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; conduct inspections of fabricated parts for quality control.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication work in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Skilled in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Familiarity with rigging, pipe threading, soldering, mechanical knowledge, and schematics interpretation.
- Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills; ability to perform measurements precisely using calipers and micrometers.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely on construction or manufacturing sites is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
