Position Summary
Seeking an experienced On-Site Engineer / Account Manager to support our Live Events and Systems Integration teams.
This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing role for someone who can develop strong client relationships, prepare quotes, coordinate projects, support equipment logistics, and work on-site as a lead or supporting engineer.
We are a small, fast-paced company specializing in production wireless technology for broadcast, entertainment, live events, and professional production environments. We sell, rent, service, design, and integrate systems involving wireless microphones, in-ear monitoring, communications, RF, cameras, audio, and networking.
The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, communicates well with customers and internal teams, and is interested in growing into a larger project and account-management role within the company.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and projects.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in the Virginia and Washington, D.C. market.
- Prepare rental and systems-integration quotes based on customer needs.
- Coordinate with engineering, sales, warehouse, logistics, and service teams.
- Provide on-site engineering support for live events and systems-integration projects.
- Work as the lead engineer or supporting engineer based on project requirements.
- Assist with system setup, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer training.
- Respond to local customer needs and provide technical support when system issues arise.
- Coordinate equipment, labor, freelancers, shipping, and other project logistics.
- Ensure equipment is properly prepared, staged, documented, and returned.
- Maintain accurate quotes, customer records, sales activity, and project information in Zoho CRM and Zoho Inventory.
- Track project status, labor requirements, equipment needs, and follow-up items.
- Support and help train additional on-site engineers as the department grows.
- Maintain an in-shop presence when not deployed to support equipment preparation, testing, training, and technical operations.
- Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and project sites as needed.
- Take ownership of projects from the initial customer request through completion.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in professional audio, live events, production wireless, broadcast equipment, systems integration, or a related technical field.
- Audio engineering degree or equivalent real-world professional experience.
- Ability to work on-site for live events and technical installations.
- Strong understanding of professional audio and production wireless equipment.
- Strong customer-service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate quotes and coordinate technical projects.
- Ability to manage multiple customers and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently while remaining connected to the larger team.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues calmly and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer and project locations.
