Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and experience working with young children, including toddlers. This role involves leading a classroom of toddlers, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning, growth, and social-emotional development. The Lead Toddler Teacher will play a vital role in creating engaging activities, ensuring safety, and supporting both children and their families through exceptional care and education.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' developmental needs
- Lead daily activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment at all times
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregiver staff within the classroom
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards, including first aid procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events or educational programs for children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is required
- Classroom management skills with a focus on early childhood education principles
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Experience with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial
- Certification in first aid and CPR is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and inclusive teaching strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, families, and team members in a nurturing environment
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
