Sealcoating Specialist - Jet-Black

Job Summary:

The sealcoating specialist is a vital position within Jet-Black. This person will be part of a two-man independent crew that is responsible for sealcoating residential driveways and/or commercial parking lots throughout the Lakeville, Burnsville, Apple Valley, and Rosemount area. This person must have a valid MN driver’s license, be able to work outside in the summer heat, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Previous experience with sealcoating or painting is a plus.

· We are currently looking for 2 full-time temporary employees to help complete the season. This will run from now until late October with the possibility of coming back next spring.

Responsibilities of the Job:

· Assist team members with sealcoating tickets due for the day

· Prepare surfaces for seal coating by cleaning and edging driveway as required

· Apply seal coating accurately using appropriate techniques

· Fill in any cracks in the driveway that are required based on the ticket

· Ensure cleanup is done at the customer’s home when the job is complete

· Clean up all equipment, including trucks and trailers, at the end of the day

· Provide answers to any questions customers may have about the process

· Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of coating application and surface preparation

Qualifications for the Job:

· Must have a valid driver’s license

· Prior experience with seal coating or painting is preferred

· Need to be at least 17 years old

· Weekend work as needed

· Work at least 8 hours a day outside in the summer

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to take direction well and be guided by team lead

Job Type: Full-Time. 8 – 9 hour days, day shift, overtime and weekends as needed, seasonal.

Pay: Commission paid on each job. Between 8% - 12%, plus potential tips and bonuses.
