What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Clerk/ Accounts Payable position at Jesup Community School District?
This position is responsible for managing accurate and timely processing of outgoing payments, ensuring vendor invoices are accurate, purchases are authorized, and paid on time as well as the accurate record keeping for all transactions. Key duties include matching purchase orders with invoices, entering data, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving discrepancies. Also will assist the School Business Official with monthly payroll processing.
This position is fulltime, 12months contract with benefits of insurance, paid vacation/sick leave, IPERS. HS diploma is required, AA Degree in accounting/ business is preferred. Prior book keeping, AP experience is desired with proficiency in accounting software orschool specific systems preferred.
Wage will be based on experience/qualifications starting at $19/hr.
