What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative position at Jessop Community FCU?
Jessop Community Federal Credit Union, a full-service community credit union in Washington, PA is seeking an individual with prior financial institution cash handling, teller, and/or customer service experience for a Member Service Representative.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide excellent member service, complete financial transactions, and advertise credit union services.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handles members at the window by receiving funds, processing the transaction, and paying out funds as required.
- Sells money orders and accepts stop payment orders.
- Opens new deposit accounts and produces signature cards, certificates of deposit and other deposit documents.
- Responsible for cash funds; balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals.
- Responsible for other duties such as filing, counting coin and currency and ATM-related duties.
- Prepares and maintains various reports and records.
- Explaining credit union products to new and existing members.
- Handling debit and credit card inquires as needed.
- Works under general supervision of supervisor/manager and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the credit union. Maintains a good working relationship with credit union employees throughout company.
- Performs other duties as assigned, and as necessary to support the successful operation of the credit union.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
