JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION OVERVIEW
JBWS is seeking dynamic committed Housing and Supportive Services Specialists for our Passaic County Shelter program to address housing and supportive needs and case management for our clients. Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to work compassionately and effectively with clients and their various needs including the impact of domestic violence. Staff will utilize a trauma-informed approach in work with clients; can independently make decisions based on sound judgment; independently leads the case management process with clients, enhance motivation for clients to engage around a plan of action; and provide strengths-based, non-judgmental, client-centered services. This individual will have knowledge and understanding of the experiences of marginalized communities, working collaboratively and flexibly to meet the needs of those served.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to: Help-Line support for callers and linkage to resources, safety planning and crisis intervention. Provide intake interview, assessment and case management for designated case load per program requirements. Develop and maintain knowledge of existing resources to support client’s road to stability. Provide psychoeducation, crisis intervention and support regarding DV with an awareness of emotional and safety concerns/needs in both group and individual formats. Provide clear, concise and timely documentation of all activities related to service provided. Engage and build rapport with clients through a trauma informed lens. Collaborate effectively across programs to meet client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Include but are not limited to:
BA in Social Work or related field with minimum of one year direct service experience or equivalent work experience of three years direct service required. Bilingual English/Spanish (verbal, written, reading) required. Excellent communication skills including empathic listening and clear and concise documentation. Experience utilizing crisis management and de-escalation techniques. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
This position is full-time 35-hour per week. Two schedules available: Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Saturday. Two shifts available: 1st shift- 7am to 3pm OR 2nd shift – 2:30pm to 10:30pm (weekend day is 7a-3p shift).

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Full-time salary range $50 – $55K. This position also offers a benefits package including an employee wellness program, medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, EAP, 403B and generous time off.
