Job Overview:
As a Journeyman Shipfitter (Boilermaker), you will play a vital role in constructing and assembling metal structures for marine vessels. This includes working with various tools to fabricate and erect steel components based on blueprints and engineering specs.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor environment with exposure to various weather conditions
- May involve confined spaces or working at heights
- Must be open to day or night shifts (24-hour shipyard operations)

Requirements:
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Testing: Must pass a hair follicle drug test and background check
- Experience: 3–5 years of verifiable trade experience
- Skills Needed:
- Ability to read blueprints (standard and metric)
- Comfortable with math and reading comprehension
- Experience working with grinders, torches, jacks, chain falls, squares, and levels
- Proficiency in layout, fit-up, and fabrication of steel plate and beams
Preferred Experience:
- 6 years in marine, shipbuilding, or industrial construction
- Familiarity with setting units using datum lines
- Strong blueprint reading and knowledge of alignment tolerances
