Commercial Construction Laborer Job Title: Commercial Construction Laborer Reports to: Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent Department: Construction Location: Morrow, GA Type: Full-Time ________________________________________ Job Summary: The Construction Laborer is essential to any commercial construction project. This person must be hardworking, energetic, punctual, and able to follow instructions when given a task. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Laborer Job Responsibilities • Performs various physical duties as assigned • Maintain all safety standards • Jobsite cleanup • Perform demolition (walls & ceiling/flooring/minor concrete demo/roofing, etc.) • Hand excavation when needed • Assist carpenters when needed • Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials • Performs some specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training • Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment • Moves items from place to place, according to direction from the site supervisor • Moving tools, equipment, or other material as directed in plans or by a supervisor ________________________________________ Laborer Qualifications / Skills • Must have dependable transportation. • Must pass background check and drug testing • Attendance and punctuality- Must be at work every day and on time • Personal appearance, proper hygiene, and appropriate work attire are required. • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines • Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety • Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers • Some traveling may be required. JLJ will pay for any/all job-related travel expenses
