Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Front Desk/Night Auditor to join the hospitality team at our family-owned hotel. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through efficient management of front desk operations and accurate financial auditing during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality management skills, excellent guest relations, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Multilingual abilities and hotel management experience are highly valued to enhance guest interactions and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Manage guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Conduct nightly audit procedures to ensure accurate financial records and reporting
- Handle multi-line phone systems, provide information about hotel services, and respond to guest needs via phone or in person
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure all guest areas are welcoming
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using hotel management software
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest requests promptly
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures related to guest safety, security, and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as reporting, data entry, and record keeping
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and guest relations
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and hotel management systems is highly desirable
- Excellent phone etiquette and experience managing multi-line phone systems
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
- Hospitality industry certifications or hotel experience are advantageous
- Candidate must be able to handle the physical demands of standing for long periods of time and may involve lifting luggage and ability to ascend and descend stairs as required.
