Pharmacy Technician

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN 

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician. This position is full-time, within the Pharmacy Department, working at our 184 Barton location. The Pharmacy Technician will report to our Supervising Pharmacist. The hours for this position will vary Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 8am-2pm, flexibility is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Previous dispensing experience in a high-volume pharmacy preferred (2-5 years minimum)  
• Preferred experience with QS1 and EMR system (Medent) preferred  
• Previous experience in 340b pharmacy setting preferred 
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

• Count, label, and perform other production tasks 
• Assist with point of sale and other front-end activities and responsibilities  
• Assist inventory specialist and pharmacists with inventory tasks as needed  
• Set up, receive and reconcile deliveries from pharmacy delivery service  
• Comply with the correct storage and disposal of medications within pharmacy areas  
• Ability to multitask while dealing with patients and inbound calls 
• Become familiar with all EMR (Medent) functions and respond to pertinent triages 
• Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resources  
• Work with entire pharmacy team to ensure 340b compliance  
• Ensure compliance of annual training in cooperation with the Director of Talent Development 
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Pharmacy Operations or Supervising Pharmacists or Pharmacist 
• Attend all team and staff meetings and comply with training requirements for department and organizational mandates
• Manage substantial amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner  
• Attend to patients' needs with empathy and exemplary listening skills  
• Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives  
• High Level of Customer Service Phone Skills with great attention to detail  

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
