Job Summary
The Sr. Learning & Development Specialist will drive employee engagement, organizational training, onboarding effectiveness, and workforce development initiatives across the organization.
This role serves as a critical link between onboarding and performance management, ensuring employees receive the training, communication, resources, and engagement needed to successfully integrate into the organization and contribute at a high level.
The Sr. Learning & Development Specialist will own employee engagement programs, coordinate organizational training initiatives, manage 30/60/90-day employee touchpoints, and support company-wide events that strengthen culture, communication, and retention.
Working closely with HR leadership, managers, and business leaders, this individual will facilitate training programs focused on company policies, workplace expectations, and professional communication standards while helping employees understand organizational goals, expectations, and available development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Own the employee engagement journey through ongoing development by creating meaningful touchpoints during the employee lifecycle, including 30-, 60-, and 90-day engagement and feedback milestones.
- Partner with managers and HR leadership to identify employee experience gaps and implement programs that improve engagement, retention, communication, and organizational culture.
- Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, new hire introductions, company celebrations, team-building activities, and employee appreciation programs.
- Plan and execute company-sponsored events, employee meetings, town halls, engagement activities, and culture-building initiatives across the organization.
Organizational Training & Workplace Standards
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate organization-wide training programs focused on company policies, workplace professionalism, communication standards, and appropriate use of company systems and collaboration platforms.
- Ensure employees understand company expectations, workplace behaviors, compliance requirements, and organizational values through consistent training and communication initiatives.
- Create and maintain employee-facing training materials, presentations, guides, and resources that reinforce workplace standards and support employee success.
Employee Development & Performance Support
- Serve as the primary liaison between onboarding and performance management by ensuring employees receive the training, resources, feedback, and support needed to achieve performance expectations.
- Collaborate with managers to support employee development plans, performance goal alignment, and ongoing professional growth initiatives.
- Track employee engagement, training participation, onboarding effectiveness, and development milestones while providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
HR Systems & Employee Communications
- Support HR systems, employee portals, and learning platforms to ensure employees have access to training resources, development tools, company communications, and organizational updates.
- Develop employee communication campaigns that promote engagement initiatives, training opportunities, company events, recognition programs, and organizational announcements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Employee Experience, or a related people-focused function.
- Experience developing, coordinating, and facilitating employee training programs, onboarding programs, workshops, or organizational learning initiatives.
- Experience supporting employee engagement programs, employee communications, culture-building activities, or workforce development programs.
- Experience partnering with managers and leadership teams to support workforce engagement initiatives.
- Experience creating training materials, presentations, employee guides, communications, job aids, or other employee-facing resources.
- Experience utilizing HRIS, Learning Management Systems (LMS), employee portals, and other HR technology platforms.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, training programs, events, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze employee feedback, training participation, engagement metrics, and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience supporting employee engagement and learning programs within manufacturing, energy, industrial, engineering, construction, field service, or technical workforce environments.
- SHRM, PHR, SPHR, or other related certifications.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus.
- Experience with ADP, KPA Flex, SuccessFactors, Paycom, TalentLMS, or similar HRIS/LMS platforms.
