GenSystems Power Solutions is seeking a Vice President, Data Center Power Solutions to establish and lead our West Coast commercial presence within the hyperscale, AI infrastructure, cloud, colocation, and mission-critical data center markets.

This executive will develop strategic relationships with hyperscalers, AI platforms, data center developers, utilities, engineering firms, energy providers, and infrastructure partners. The role is focused on the physical power and infrastructure required to support AI, GPU-driven computing, cloud services, and large-scale data center development.

The Vice President will position GenSystems’ scalable gas turbine and distributed power solutions for customers facing utility interconnection delays, grid-capacity constraints, accelerated development schedules, resiliency requirements, and rapidly increasing electrical demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead GenSystems’ West Coast data center commercial operation.
  • Develop and execute the regional market-entry and business-development strategy.
  • Build executive relationships with hyperscalers, AI companies, cloud providers, colocation operators, utilities, and data center developers.
  • Originate large-scale opportunities involving bridge power, distributed generation, behind-the-meter power, resiliency, and grid-constrained development.
  • Lead strategic partnerships, customer presentations, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop relationships with customer leaders in energy, infrastructure, power procurement, site selection, engineering, construction, real estate, operations, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, project management, finance, legal, supply chain, and executive leadership.
  • Build and lead the Santa Clara commercial organization as the business develops.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecast, account strategy, and market-development plan.
  • Represent GenSystems at data center, hyperscale, AI, energy, and power-generation industry events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, business, construction management, real estate, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Google, Meta, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, xAI, Alibaba, or another hyperscale or AI infrastructure organization
  • 15 or more years of progressive experience in data centers, power generation, utilities, energy infrastructure, business development, or strategic accounts.
  • Senior leadership experience within a hyperscaler, data center developer, utility, energy company, infrastructure provider, or engineering organization.
  • Direct experience with data center power, energy strategy, utility coordination, site development, infrastructure development, or power procurement.
  • Established relationships within the hyperscale, AI, cloud, utility, power, or data center market.
  • Demonstrated success developing complex, high-value, long-cycle infrastructure opportunities.
  • Experience leading executive customer discussions and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience building a team, market, business unit, or regional commercial operation.
  • Ability to maintain a regular presence in the Santa Clara area and travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of gas turbine generation, bridge power, distributed generation, microgrids, battery energy storage, utility interconnection, substations, transformers, or switchgear.
  • Experience developing data center campuses, energy campuses, or large-load infrastructure projects.
  • Existing executive relationships within the West Coast hyperscale and data center ecosystem.
