The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the recruitment process for positions across JEOL USA and its subsidiaries, including field service, sales, customer support, administrative, and management functions. This position plays a critical role in attracting, evaluating, and hiring qualified talent while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, federal contractor requirements, and company policies. The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners closely with hiring managers to support workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, candidate selection, and compliance initiatives that contribute to JEOL USA’s continued growth and success.


Essential Functions

  • Manage the recruitment process ensuring talent acquisition objectives are achieved by attracting, assessing, and securing high-quality candidates
  • Engage active and passive candidates using a variety of recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates through professional networks, employee referrals, job boards, scientific conferences, colleges, career fairs, and industry affiliations
  • Promote the employer brand through networking, social media, and targeted talent engagement strategies to build diverse talent pipelines
  • Evaluate candidates for skills, experience, and organizational fit, and provide recommendations for hiring managers
  • Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, and deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Review and update job descriptions to ensure they reflect current business needs and position requirements
  • Maintain applicant flow logs, candidate disposition records, monthly staffing reports, cost per hire data, recruitment documentation, and outreach activities
  • Administer and support Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action Program (AAP) planning, compliance audits, government reporting, and diversity recruiting initiatives and outreach efforts
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, OFCCP federal contractor requirements, and company policies
  • Serve as a resource to managers and employees regarding recruitment policies, procedures, and employment practices, and assist with employee relations matters


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resource experience with a proven track record of recruiting electro-mechanical technicians, engineers, scientists, and administrative talent.
  • Working knowledge of federal contractor regulations, including OFCCP requirements, VEVRA, and Section 503 as well as experience supporting compliance audits, government reporting, affirmative action planning, and diversity outreach initiatives
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, internet recruitment platforms, E-Verify, I-9 employment eligibility requirements, and recordkeeping obligations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR Human Resource certification preferred
  • Five percent travel is anticipated to participate in recruitment activities at company locations, career fairs, scientific conferences, and trade shows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Salary Minimum: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00

The base range above represents the low and high end of the JEOL salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, which may include location, experience, and performance. In addition, JEOL provides a variety of comprehensive benefits including health and dental coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401K plan with company match and contribution, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, paid sick time, and paid vacation.


Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
