Position Summary
The position oversees and participates in the manufacturing of products as determined by production schedules, forecasts, and work orders.
Principle Accountabilities
- Leads the activities of employees; provides assistance to workers engaged in production activities; troubleshoots worker and production problems and recommends solutions. Engages in interactive communication. Trains workers in production methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary.
- Participates in and oversees the production process, from beginning to end and ensures the quality of the product.
- Supervises other employees, which includes: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; motivating, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Organizes the daily work flow based on direction from the Plant Manager and production schedules; ensuring each team in production is well informed of the daily tasks and deadlines set forth for the day.
- Properly operates all tools and equipment based on safety procedures and specified guidelines. Maintains organized area and properly stores tools, materials, etc. Cleans working area by sweeping excess debris on a continuous basis to ensure a safe work area.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated supervisory experience. Other desired qualifications include:
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.
- Experience working with a Quality Control program.
- Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word Processor).
- Strong communication skills to include both verbal and written communication.
