JENNMAR Services is seeking an Underground Mine Safety Coordinator. The position will be responsible for the safety of the employees at their assigned locations. This position requires travel between work sites in the Harrison County WV area and will require some on-call time and the ability to work during off shifts.

Job Duties for Underground Mine Safety Coordinator:
- Remains current in regard to changes of all state and federal regulations concerning mining
- Conducts training classes as needed
- Travels to work locations and helps employees with hazard recognition and accident prevention
- Ensures that employees are properly task trained and that task training is properly documented
- Advises employees on good safety practices and company safe work procedures
- Responds to workplace accidents and conducts accident investigations
- Maintains inventory of PPE and ensures employees are properly equipped for the assigned tasks
- Maintains training and accident records
- Interacts with customer safety departments and with federal and state agencies
- Performs other duties assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS for Underground Mine Safety Coordinator:
- MSHA Approved Instructor for Underground and Surface, or the requisite experience to obtain this qualification (3 years of experience in underground and surface mining operations) required
- Certified Miner in WV
- Proficiency with Word and Excel
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to multi-task between daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail
