Position Summary
The Top-Out Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day top-out plumbing activities on assigned projects. This role requires strong field leadership, technical plumbing knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, foremen, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct top-out plumbing crews on commercial job sites
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project timelines
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code requirements
- Monitor material usage and coordinate with warehouse and project management teams
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to ensure quality control and workmanship standards
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
- Enforce company safety policies and jobsite procedures
- Communicate progress, challenges, and manpower needs to management
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with top-out supervision strongly preferred
- Proven leadership and crew management experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime as project demands require
