What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Paraprofessional--(APPLY USING WEBSITE BELOW) position at Jenkins Memorial Center?
REQUIRED: Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR a Child Development Associates Degree.
Experience working with young children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Assisting teachers in their teaching duties and other general responsibilities such as organizing teaching manuals, providing instructional support in media centers, rendering reinforcement activities, etc.
Overseeing independent/guided practices and following up drills and prescribed activities
Preparing the classroom before the day and certain activities
Documenting and retrieving system data; assisting in cleanup and food routines; etc.
Exercising crisis management methods
Performing clerical tasks such as maintaining student attendance records, filing student information and progress reports.
Helping the teachers in counseling parents on the requirements and development of their children
Helping the teachers and students in executing extracurricular activities and school functions
Ensuring proper care and upkeep of educational materials, equipment, and supplies
Other duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or Instructor leading classroom.
