Duties

• Engage with customers warmly and professionally, providing detailed product demonstrations and answering all inquiries with clarity and confidence
• Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering upselling suggestions to enhance their experience and maximize sales opportunities
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions accurately and managing cash drawer with integrity
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented to attract customer attention and promote sales
• Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, educating customers on store offerings including grocery items or other retail products
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support merchandising efforts by organizing stock, replenishing inventory, and ensuring the store environment remains inviting and organized

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, including familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing team members or training new staff
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued
• Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions accurately and performing basic calculations quickly
• Experience with grocery store operations or familiarity with retail store product knowledge is advantageous
• Ability to perform cashiering duties including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing retail transactions efficiently
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
• Basic math skills for inventory management, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations
• Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimize product placement and store presentation

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
