General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Managing and directing office communications and information flow (incoming phone calls, emails, and other forms)
- Office administration, such as purchasing and the associated documentation
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts
- Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices and other documents
- Maintain accurate records of payment and receipts, reconcile vendor accounts
- Process invoices and prepare payments in a timely manner
- Receives and verifies expense reports, cost reimbursements
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Keep financial and other types of documents organized in appropriate files
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Highly proficient with accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required, however, candidates with several years of documented experience but no degree are encouraged to apply
- Three to five years of accounting experience required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
