Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Support the installation of hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
- Maintain irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests; assist with pesticide management following safety guidelines.
- Perform routine groundskeeping duties including debris removal, soil preparation, fertilization, and seasonal plantings.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Requirements
- Previous outdoor work experience or landscaping background is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscape equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as mowing, gardening, tree trimming, and plant identification.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely; experience with irrigation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and pesticide management procedures.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods.
