Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment including power tools, mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Support planting activities by identifying plants, installing new greenery, and caring for existing flora
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing basic repairs or adjustments
- Help with hardscape projects like installing pathways, retaining walls, or decorative features under supervision
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct routine grounds inspections to identify areas needing attention or repair
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, and irrigation management
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks such as trimmers, saws, shovels, and blowers
- Ability to identify common plants and understand basic horticultural principles
- Understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation
- Experience with pesticide management or application is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
