What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Team Leader- 2nd Shift position at Jefferson Southern Job Board?
Role and Responsibilities:
- Team Leaders are to maintain confidentiality of all information regarding associate performance and all other issues as directed by management.
- Ensure that all new associates have adequate training in their assigned work areas before being left alone to complete a task
- Work directly with quality associates when problems occur to prevent substandard parts from being shipped
- Investigate and resolve inventory issues as they arise
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all required maintenance activities are performed daily including replacing threaders for driver checks biweekly.
- Team Leaders will be required to learn all jobs in their assigned work areas and operate lines when necessary
- Responsible for completion of all documentation within the operations of their area
- Continuous improvement in quality, safety, productivity, and delivery
- Provide continuous support for all associates
- Ensure daily production needs are met to meet the customer’s demands and communicate requirements to associates
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding mutual expectations and take personal responsibility and accountability for correcting customer-service problems
- Ensure all associates are trained and following the proper labeling procedures
- Other duties as required by management
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior knowledge of production processes preferred
- Must have basic written communication skills
- Must have good problem solving, verbal and interpersonal skills
