Food Services Systems Computer Repair Technician

Position Description:

TheFoodServicesSystemsComputer Repair TechnicianisresponsibleformanagingthetasksassociatedwiththeinstallationandmaintenanceofhardwareandsoftwarefortheFoodServicesDepartmentandactsastheliaisonbetweencontractedsoftwarevendorsandtheFoodServices,TechnologyandSISDepartments.TheFoodServicesSystemsComputer Repair TechnicianisalsocrosstrainedtoperformthebasicjobdutiesoftheFoodServicesApplicationManager.

Reports To: Executive Director of Food Services

Scope of Responsibility:

• Maintains DC lists.
• Manages website for food services.
• Tracks site health inspections.
• Respondstocafeteriaandcentralofficebasedsoftwareandhardwareissuesinatimely
• Makessitevisitstoschoolswithapersonalvehicleorworksremotelytoresolvereported
• CommunicateseffectivelywiththeJPSTechnologyDepartmentinseekingadditionalhelpinproblem
• InstallshardwareandsoftwareincafeteriaandFoodServices
• Repairsandreconditionsdepartmenthardwareif
• Recommendsthepurchaseofhardwareandancillaryitemsas
• Overseesthesoftwarerolloverprocesspriortothebeginningofeachschool
• TracksandtroubleshootsdailycommunicationsbetweentheFoodServicesandSISsoftware
• ActsasliaisonbetweenFoodServicessoftwarevendorsandotherJPS
• ConductsorassistsintrainingforFoodServices
• Is“oncall”fortasksthatrequirecompletionafterstandardwork
• Maintainsalogofallsoftwareissuesandtheirresolutionasreportedbycafeteriaandcentraloffice
• IscrosstrainedinthebasicresponsibilitiesoftheFoodServicesApplicationManagerandisabletoperformthosetasksas
• PerformsotherdutiesasassignedbytheExecutiveDirectorofFood

• Graduateofanaccreditedtechnicalschoolwithcourseworkconcentrationincomputerapplicationsorrelatedfieldoraminimumof5yearsofdocumentedexperiencewithcomputer
• DocumentedexperiencewithpointofserviceandbackofthehouseFoodServicessoftware
• Strongcommunicationskillsinmultiplesettingsandtheabilitytobeanengagingchangeagentandculture creatorthatcaninspireand
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions and
• Collaborative management style, with a proven track record of working with diverse individuals at all levels to drive decision-makingandproblem
• Highdegreeofprofessionalism,withtheabilitytomanagemultiplecompetingpriorities,whileconsistentlydemonstratingsoundjudgmentanddisciplined
• Competence in using a personal computer including the district’s software

Physical Involvement:

Continuous movement is required most of the day; standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting 30 pounds is sometimes required. Must have ability to provide own transportation to schools, work locations, and meeting sites. Must possess mobility skills necessary to access a variety of work areas. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to provide own transportation to schools, work locations and meetings, both inside and outside the parish.
