Role Description The Assistant Golf Professional is a Seasonal full-time, on-site role based in Rigby, ID. This role supports the daily golf operations, including assisting with tee time management, coordinating leagues and tournaments, and maintaining an organized and welcoming pro shop environment. The Assistant Golf Professional provides golf instruction and coaching to golfers of varying skill levels, helps fit and recommend golf equipment, and promotes merchandise and services. The role includes delivering attentive customer service, managing point-of-sale transactions, and ensuring that course rules and standards are upheld. The individual collaborates closely with the Head Golf Professional and other staff to create an excellent overall experience for members, guests, and partners.
Qualifications
- Golf Instruction and Golf skills, with the ability to coach players of different abilities and provide constructive feedback.
- Golf Management experience, including supporting daily operations, events, and pro shop activities.
- Knowledge of Golf Equipment and fitting, with the ability to advise customers on clubs, balls, and accessories.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on professionalism, problem-solving, and clear communication.
- Prior experience working at a golf facility, club, or related sports environment is preferred.
- Basic point-of-sale and cash handling skills; comfort with scheduling and inventory systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking the course, and lifting light to moderate loads.
- Knowledge of USGA rules and general golf etiquette; PGA or similar certifications are a plus.

Current IGA-Idaho Golf Association Membership
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
*Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job.
*Experience with computerized POS and Tee time systems.
