Job Description
Essential Functions:
Clinical & Patient Support
- Assist audiology providers with patient flow and clinical support activities
- Support hearing aid walk-in clinic services, including troubleshooting and triage
- Provide support for unscheduled patient needs and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support patient communication for appointments and follow-up care
- Assist with intake, check-in/out, and staffing coverage as needed
- Coordinate ordering, receiving, tracking, and preparation of devices
- Manage repairs and returns including patient communication
- Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Record and Hearing Aid/Cochlear Implant Database
- Support follow-up processes and continuity of care
- Support scheduling workflows and chart preparation
- Perform chart review to improve scheduling accuracy
- Maintain clinic flow and support patient access
- Collaborate across teams to improve throughput
- Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate calibration
- Maintain supplies and clinic readiness
- Monitor and order inventory as needed
- Support specialty programs (Progressive Tinnitus Management/PTM) and departmental initiatives (1394 Patients to be Scheduled Work Queue)
- Assist with workflow and operational tracking
- Participate in training and continuing education
- Travel between locations as required - Provide cross-site coverage - Assist with events and outreach - Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma/GED and Associates Degree.
- Bachelor degree preferred
- 1 year Previous healthcare or patient service experience preferred
- 1 year Experience in audiology or hearing healthcare preferred
- 1 year Experience supporting hearing aid devices and workflows preferred
