As a Substitute, you'll step into a variety of roles to help keep Head Start classrooms running smoothly. Depending on the assignment, you may:
- Support teachers in classrooms of up to 20 children
- Assist with educational activities and learning experiences, including for children with special needs
- Help prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe classroom space
- Model family‑style dining during mealtimes
- Support children's safety and supervision at all times
- Provide educational support in home‑based settings when needed
- Assist with simple administrative tasks (answering phones, record‑keeping)
- Attend required agency trainings and jump in where needed

🎓 What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience in childcare, education, health, or working with low‑income families (preferred)
- Ability to stand, stoop, squat, run, and lift up to 50 lbs

- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
- A positive, non‑judgmental attitude - and a genuine desire to help others
