Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Salary: $13.20/hourly
Location: Jefferson County Community Center
Reports To: Office Manager
Employment Status: Part-Time, up to 20 hours/week
FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The part time, Customer Service Representative will provide excellent customer support by assisting guests via phone, email and in-person interactions. They will serve as the first point of contact for the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position will not supervise any staff.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping guests at the front desk and on the phone with registrations, facility rentals and other transactions.
- Responsible for aiding with administrative tasks as requested by the Office Manager; adapts to workload and accepts additional responsibilities as assigned by the Deputy Director.
- Assist with maintaining an inventory of office supplies and for securing such supplies when needed, and for scheduling maintenance and repair of computers, copier, and phone system.
- Assists with programs and special events; teen dances, holiday events, as needed.
- Stay up to date with company program offerings and services.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Skill in customer service-related written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in communicating with supervisors.
- Ability to earn and maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
- Ability to process cash transactions and manually calculate basic math.
- Ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
- Ability to multi-task in a face paced environment.
- Ability to deal professionally with park and facility guests.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to be punctual and capable of working independently.
- Knowledge of recreation management software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Applicants must have at least 6 months experience in a customer service-related environment.
- Preference may be given to those with CPR & First Aid certification.
Physical Requirements:
- There will be periods of time of sitting and/or standing.
- Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling may be required. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
- Parks & Recreation is a smoke-free facility; therefor smoking and vaping on all company premises is prohibited.
