JCCDC is seeking a dynamic and proactive part-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between management and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, JCCDC personnel policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the agency culture and operational procedures.
- Oversee employee evaluation and performance management system.
- Handle employee relations issues with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to resolve concerns promptly.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate records related to employment law, affirmative action planning, workers' compensation claims, and HR legal compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management or HR department roles with a strong understanding of employment & labor law and HR legal compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, training & development, and succession planning.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly while engaging effectively across all levels of the agency..
- Knowledge of employment law in talent management practices including FMLA, OSHA regulations, and social media management for recruiting purposes is advantageous.
- Degree in Human Resources Management required.
