Maintenance Worker II
NORMAL WORK DAYS/HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
This is a skilled maintenance and repair work position in the building, mechanical or electrical trades.
This employee works in a variety of trades at the sub-journeyman level in the maintenance and repair of Authority buildings and equipment. Work involves repair jobs of a routine nature which are carried out with only general supervision.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Implements the general maintenance of, and repairs to, assigned properties and equipment, including but not limited to painting and pressure washing.
-Responsible for the maintenance of, and repairs to all heating and air condition systems.
-Assist in moving furniture for office or home moves, when needed.

-Assist in delivery of supplies and putting furniture together, as needed.
-General housekeeping duties.
-Responsible for implementing the preventative maintenance schedule.
-Assist with van/vehicle service requests, when needed.
-Maintains maintenance records and service reports.
-Responsible for his own time management, travel, planning and record keeping.
-Emergency services and special projects as assigned.
-Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years experience in general maintenance. Must have a valid Alabama drivers license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
-Ability to make mechanical repairs to HVAC Systems, certification preferred.
-Knowledge of building materials, supplies and vendors of same.
-Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes.
-Ability to paint and do minor carpentry work.
-Basic computer knowledge is required.
-Ability to establish effective working relationship with other staff and agencies.
-Ability to communicate clearly, orally, and in writing.
