SUMMARY: Initially, this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the District's implementation of Workday, scheduled for December 2026. During the implementation phase, responsibilities will include but are not limited to, developing and maintaining process documentation, conducting system testing, supporting end-user training, and assisting with transaction catch-up activities before and immediately following go-live. Following the successful implementation of Workday, this position will transition into an ongoing HR Operations role, where it will support critical HR processes and service delivery functions across the District.
Provide exceptional customer service and front-line support to employees, applicants, and district departments regarding HR processes, transactions, and inquiries. Process and audit HR transactions, employee records, and data within Workday to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with district policies and procedures. Coordinate with schools and departments to resolve routine transaction and data issues while supporting onboarding and Welcome Center operations. Leverage HR technology, automated workflows, and established processes to improve efficiency, maintain data integrity, and enhance HR service delivery. Contribute to the delivery of timely, accurate, and reliable HR services that support employees and help ensure the smooth operation of district schools and departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional customer service to employees, applicants, and district departments regarding HR processes, procedures, and transactions.
Serve as a primary point of contact for routine HR inquiries and direct complex issues to appropriate HR staff.
Assist with Welcome Center operations, including employee support, onboarding activities, and front-line HR services.
Review, validate, process, and approve HR transactions in Workday in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
Maintain compliance with district policies, procedures, federal and state regulations, and negotiated agreements when processing HR transactions.
Audit HR transactions and employee data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
Research, reconcile, and resolve routine transaction discrepancies and escalate complex issues as needed.
Coordinate with schools and departments to resolve HR transaction and employee data issues.
Maintain employee records and HR data in accordance with district record retention requirements and confidentiality standards.
Utilize HR systems, workflows, and technology tools to support efficient transaction processing and record management.
Identify recurring operational issues and communicate recommendations for process improvements to HR leadership.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, schools, departments, and external stakeholders.
Prepare reports and provide data support related to HR transactions and employee records as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years in HR operations, customer service, or business operations. Experience with HRIS systems preferred. Workday experience strongly preferred.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School degree required. Additional college coursework equivalent to an Associate's degree or higher is preferred, with a concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic human resources processes, data management practices, and district policies and procedures. Skill in providing responsive customer service, communicating effectively, and maintaining positive working relationships with employees and departments. Skill in accurately reviewing, processing, and auditing HR transactions while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, resolve routine issues, and maintain accurate records. Ability to identify discrepancies, follow established procedures, and support efficient HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
