Title Clerk Job Responsibilities:
- Process and issue titles and liens for automotive purchase and refinance transactions.
- Process the trade vehicle transaction, resolve title issues, and communicate with lenders, store personnel and buyers regarding title issues and clearance.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions to recommend to management for resolution.
- Work with various team members to accomplish monthly production goals.
- Open and review incoming title mail, verify status of the vehicle and file title to appropriate place.
- Search in CDK software to identify the stock# based on the VIN number to write on title.
- Pull and match titles to the vehicle sold in preparation of titling.
- Locate missing deals and /or titles based on title clerk request.
- Place deals to be titled in proper location in our in-house tracking system.
- Hand-write customer and lien information on title in preparation of title transfer of ownership.
- Performs a variety of other clerical tasks in order to assist with the efficient operation of the title department.
