Who we're looking for
We are looking for highly motivated, energetic and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Collision Repair/Body Shop Technician. This role is a fast-paced and challenging position that relies on the ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a professional, well-spoken manner and identify their individual needs by taking ownership of the customer experience.
Body Technician - Job Summary
A body repair technician can repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages.
- Return the vehicle to factory specifications.
- Remove vehicle trim to gain access to the vehicle body.
- Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure quality repair.
- Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and a cutting torch.
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.
- Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack.
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Aim headlights.
- Replace bolts on panels and align them properly.
- Make cosmetic repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections to original specifications.
- Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job.
Qualifications:
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-4 years of body shop experience is strongly preferred.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
