Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Downingtown, PA. The Mechanic is responsible for performing routine and complex vehicle maintenance and repair, including diagnostics, brake and suspension work, engine and transmission servicing, and fluid changes. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role also involves working with service advisors to explain findings, documenting work performed in repair orders, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service bay. The Mechanic will collaborate with other technicians, use dealership-approved tools and equipment, and stay current with manufacturer guidelines and training.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general vehicle maintenance, including Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment or larger vehicles, with the ability to safely operate and service them.
- Proficient in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues using appropriate tools and software.
- Relevant certifications such as ASE or manufacturer-specific training are preferred.
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or repair shop setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a variety of vehicles.
